Ingrid De Leon is the newest face amongst the Wellness Hub staff. She is the Wellness Hub’s Navigator, meaning she welcomes students when they walk in.
“My main thing is to greet students as they come into the space and make sure they are doing okay, and if there is a specific person or support that they need,” De Leon said. “I’m the person that makes sure that they get to that next step.”
De Leon first started at Novato High School, subbing in their Wellness Hub before becoming the school’s English Language specialist.
Outside of the Wellness Hub, De Leon is working towards becoming either a math or biology teacher. She is applying to programs to help her towards either getting her master’s in education and/or her teaching credential for the state of California.
De Leon likes to relax and show her creative side through pottery. She fell in love with pottery during her freshman year of high school.
“It’s a way for me to decompress from my week, from my year, from whatever is going on, and it’s fun to just have something to do that’s mycraft,” De Leon said.
De Leon looks forward to being a part of the San Marin community. She is most looking forward to meeting new students.
“This space is open for all students,” De Leon said. “All types of students come in needing help or just needing a space to decompress from school or whatever it may be. I just am excited to be able to work with different types of kids.”
