Zack Alexander – Math
Entering his eighth year of teaching, Alexander describes himself as the ‘forever student.’ Math has always come easy to him and he always looks for new learning opportunities.
Camille Bernt – English
Finding her passion for literature from inspiring professors, Bernt feels belonging in the classroom. She loves reading and considers herself a very adventurous person.
Allie Evans – English/Drama
Evans grew up with a big interest in theater, pursuing acting and therapy, but later fell in love with the classroom. Her passions are helping others and learning.
Sarah Femmel – Science
Femmel has always been interested in the natural world. She had a wonderful college experience with lots of marine biology experiments, which inspired her teaching career.
Tracy Foster – Science
After realizing that he did not want to be a doctor, Foster drew inspiration from family members to get into teaching. He enjoys going on hikes and camping.
Derek Piastrelli – Math
Piastrelli loves math because of how useful and interesting it is. After soul searching for career paths, Piastelli realized that he wanted to help people enjoy math.
Kristen Wright – Spanish/AVID
JV cheer coach and new Spanish and AVID teacher, Wright was inspired by her high school teachers, as she hopes to inspire her students. She feels very welcomed at San Marin.
Adam Brier – Math
A former engineer, Brier realized how much he loves teaching after being a tutor. He is always practicing playing instruments and enjoys production software.
Marisa Remak – Spanish
Remak has been teaching for over 25 years. This year, she is helping with Spanish 2 on APEX. In her spare time you can find her baking, sewing, and gardening.
