Work Experience
Work experience is a course for juniors and seniors who are employed and have a work permit. The purpose of this class is to give students elective credits for working outside of school. Students will receive credit once they have completed their weekly check-ins.
Data Science
Data Science allows students to study statistics and data analysis. There are project-based opportunities using data to help students develop their understanding. This course is the same credit as Algebra 2, for students who don’t take Algebra 2 or as an elective for juniors and seniors.
Sports Medicine 2
This course dives deeper into what students learned in Sports Medicine 1. They will have hands-on opportunities, like taping, wrapping and shadowing Athletic Trainer and Sports Medicine teacher, Brendan Graber. Students will also study injury evolution and evaluation, first aid, and CPR. This class is only available for students who have completed Sports Medicine 1.
P.E. Dance
Dance is a P.E. course that students can take if they need P.E. credits and are not interested in the other P.E. courses. There are various dance styles including hip-hop, ballet, and modern. Students will learn about culture and ethnic identity, they will also need to attend live performances.
AP World History
Students will learn about concepts of culture, government economic systems, social interactions, organizations, and technology. Sophomore will have the option to take this class, AP European History, or World History. Juniors and seniors can also take this course as an elective.
Film as Literature
Film as Literature is an English course for seniors that studies film in depth and allows students to write films from a literary perspective, tell their own stories through visual acts, and learn about film culture.
